Order Processing & Handling
Orders placed before 1 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays) will ship the same day.
Orders placed after 1 PM EST or on weekends/holidays will ship the next business day.
Order Fulfillment Guarantee: We have a reasonable basis to expect shipment within our stated timeframes. If we cannot ship within the promised delivery window, we will contact you to offer a choice between waiting for the delayed shipment or receiving a full refund.
Order Changes & Cancellations
Our average turnaround is incredibly fast, please double check your order before checking out to make sure all details are correct. Orders can only be cancelled or modified until they enter our fulfillment process (typically less than 1 hour after placement on business days). After fulfillment begins, changes cannot be made. Contact us immediately at hello@siberiancedaroil.com if you need to modify an order.
Shipping Methods & Carriers
Domestic Shipping (USA)
We use USPS Priority Mail for all domestic orders.
Estimated Delivery: 2–3 business days after shipment (not guaranteed).
Service: USPS Priority Mail includes tracking and insurance up to $100.
Delivery Locations: We ship to all US addresses including PO Boxes and APO/FPO military addresses.
International Shipping
We use UPS Worldwide Expedited for all international orders to ensure fast, reliable delivery with professional customs clearance.
Estimated Delivery: 2–6 business days after shipment (not guaranteed).
Service: UPS Worldwide Expedited includes full tracking, insurance, and professional customs brokerage services.
Delivery Restrictions: UPS Worldwide Expedited cannot deliver to PO Boxes. Physical addresses only.
Customs Clearance Included: Your shipping cost covers all border crossing and entry preparation fees. UPS handles all customs paperwork and clearance procedures to ensure smooth delivery without delays.
Duties & Taxes: Upon delivery, you'll only be responsible for any government-assessed duties and taxes, which vary by product type and are determined by customs authorities. These fees are collected by UPS at delivery if applicable.
UPS Disbursement Fee: If UPS pays duties and taxes on your behalf at customs, they charge a small disbursement fee (typically $11 CAD minimum or 3.7% of the duty amount, whichever is greater). This fee covers the administrative cost of advancing payment to customs authorities.
Customs Self-Clearing: International customers may choose to clear customs themselves to avoid UPS disbursement fees. Contact UPS directly with your tracking number to arrange self-clearing. This may result in package delays but can reduce total customs fees.
Packaging & Product Care
Siberian Cedar Oil is sensitive to heat and light. To protect freshness and quality:
- All oil is sealed in dark glass bottles to minimize light exposure.
- All orders ship in padded packaging with bubble wrap.
Insurance & Liability
Insurance Coverage: All UPS Worldwide Expedited shipments include insurance up to $100. For over $100 additional declared value coverage is automatically included. For domestic USPS Priority Mail, insurance covers up to $100. We are not liable for losses exceeding the carrier's insurance coverage limits.
Delivery Requirements & Liability
Address Accuracy: Double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for delays or losses due to incorrect addresses.
Delivery Requirements: Packages require a signature or will be left in a secure location at the delivery address. We are not responsible for packages stolen after successful delivery. Please ensure your delivery address is accurate and secure.
Tracking: You'll receive a tracking link via email once your order ships. Monitor your package's progress through USPS (domestic) or UPS (international).
Lost/Damaged Packages: Contact us within 7 days of delivery if your order is lost, stolen, or arrives damaged. Provide your order number and photos of the issue. We'll work with the carrier to resolve the claim and offer a replacement or store credit depending on the situation (subject to investigation).
Delays: Transit times are estimates. Weather, customs, or carrier delays may extend delivery times. We are not liable for delays beyond our control.
International Customs Delays: While UPS Worldwide Expedited includes professional customs clearance to minimize delays, occasional customs inspections or documentation requirements may extend delivery times. This is normal and beyond our control.
Service Interruptions
Delivery may be delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: severe weather, natural disasters, customs inspections, carrier service disruptions, labor strikes, or government restrictions. We are not liable for delays caused by such events.
Holiday & Peak Season Shipping
During peak periods (November-January), processing and delivery times may be extended. During holidays (e.g., Christmas) or peak periods, shipping carriers may experience delays. Plan accordingly.
Data Privacy for Shipping
Shipping addresses and tracking information are shared with carriers solely for delivery purposes and are not used for marketing without consent.
